We are proud to announce that Tayco has officially achieved ISO 14001 Environmental Management System certification for the first time, alongside the successful recertification of our ISO 9001 Quality Management System.

Together, these internationally recognized certifications mark an exciting milestone for Tayco and reflect our commitment to quality, responsible manufacturing and operational excellence.

This achievement is especially meaningful as Tayco celebrates its 50th anniversary. For five decades, we have continued to evolve the way we design, manufacture and deliver workplace solutions, while remaining focused on providing the quality, service and Customer experience that have helped shape who we are today.

ISO 9001 reinforces the quality management practices that support our manufacturing operations and help us consistently deliver products and services that meet Customer and regulatory requirements. Maintaining this certification reflects the work happening across Tayco to strengthen our processes and uphold high standards throughout our operations.

Achieving ISO 14001 certification represents an exciting new chapter. The environmental management standard provides a structured framework for understanding, managing and improving environmental performance across an organization.

For Tayco, this builds on work already underway to evaluate our materials, manufacturing processes, waste and resource use and identify practical opportunities to operate more responsibly.

One recent example is our transition from PVC to ABS edge banding, alongside the adoption of hot-air technology for approximately 95% of our edge banding applications. By considering material selection and manufacturing processes together, we are identifying opportunities to support product quality, operational efficiency and environmental considerations.

This reflects an important part of our approach: meaningful progress is often built through a series of thoughtful decisions. From evaluating materials to introducing new manufacturing processes and using resources more effectively, each improvement contributes to a stronger operation.

Tayco President Bill Melnik shared, “Achieving ISO 14001 alongside our ISO 9001 recertification, is an important accomplishment for Tayco. These certifications reflect the work happening throughout our organization every day, from maintaining high standards for quality to continually looking for opportunities to improve how we operate and reduce our environmental impact. They reinforce our strong foundation as we evolve as a major player in the North American furniture market”.

Both ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 are built around ongoing measurement, evaluation and improvement, making certification part of a larger commitment rather than an endpoint. These frameworks help Tayco remain accountable while continuing to assess how our products are made and how our operations can perform better.

Achieving these certifications during our 50th anniversary year gives us even more to celebrate. They recognize the work of Teams across Tayco while strengthening the foundation for our future as a resilient and responsible Canadian manufacturer.

Tayco has continued to learn, adapt and move forward. We are proud to celebrate this achievement together and look forward to building on it as we continue creating workplaces designed for the way people work today and tomorrow.
