In preparation for the holidays, we like to recognize the hard work of our employees and give back to the community. We held our annual employee holiday party on December 15 and our first ever toy drive in celebration of the holiday season.
The toy drive was a success, raising over $4,000 worth of new toys and gift cards for The Hospital for Sick Children. We have learned that this year around 300 children at The Hospital for Sick Children will be too sick to go home for the holidays. We truly hope that our donation can help bring a spark of joy to the children and their families over this holiday season.
After the toy drive we threw our annual party, which was definitely one to remember. An evening filled with delicious food, games and dancing allowed for a fun and relaxed night of bonding.
Just like all great Tayco parties, we partook in a 50/50 draw. In total we raised over $1,140! 50% of the money was donated to The Food Bank, and the other 50% was won by our VP of Finance who chose to donate his share to The Hospital for Sick Children.
While the end of the year is a great time to recognize everyone for their hard work, it is also a great time for organizations to give back to those in need. We are so glad we were able to do both.
