Large Retailer Case Study

The Challenge

Transitioning to a new building, a popular hardware and automotive retailer furnished their newly renovated floor with Switch, Tayco’s newest space-saving panel system. The retailer worked with Tayco dealer Harkel Office Furniture Ltd. and renowned design firm Gensler to choose the ultimate configurations for 85 stations.

The Solution

The design became a showcase for Switch’s industry-leading versatility.  A multitude of configurations were tailored to best suit each department’s needs. Many of the open office configurations featured under desk metal pedestals for storage and Switch’s signature Tech Drop allowing for a power outlet to sit flush in the height drop between the main surface and return. Other configurations included assistant workstations and hoteling stations with Height Adjustable Tables. Each station was complimented by Tayco’s signature J1 task chair.

All stations were finished with Acacia worksurfaces, white metal pedestals, frosted panel mounted glass and panel fabric in Universe Mica to provide a slight contrast.

The Result

This installation for a large retailer is yet another example of Switch’s slim footprint, elegant design and superb versatility. You wouldn’t expect anything less from your favorite modern office furniture manufacturer!
