- Who are you & what is your role at Tayco?
I’m Victor, and I am the Marketing Material Specialist at Tayco. In other words, I handle everything related to samples, brochures, and marketing materials that support our Sales Team. - What’s one process, project, or idea you’ve contributed to recently that you’re proud of?
Since I first joined Tayco, the project I’m most proud of is improving the entire Literature department. I’ve streamlined the process to make it faster, more efficient, and more cost effective. I take pride in doing what I do in the best way possible everyday. - If you had a personal theme song or soundtrack, what would it be and why?
I don’t think I have one personal song or soundtrack because I have dozens of songs I love. But lately, I’ve been playing a Spanish love song very often: Rue Vieille du Temple – Live version. - What’s something you’ve learned recently that changed how you approach life?
Do your best with whatever you have today, but most importantly, enjoy the ride. - If you could shadow anyone at Tayco for a day, who would it be and why?
I would shadow any of our colleagues from the plant. They are the details behind our biggest projects, and many of them do physical work I’m not even sure I could do. I’m sure they still go home to take care of kids and house chores, yet they come in smiling every single day. What’s their secret? I’m curious. - What’s a fun fact about you that surprises people?
I’m a huge fan of motorcycles. I had my first electric motorcycle when I was 2 years old, and my first engine motorcycle when I turned 6. Over the years, I became a pretty good rider. - What’s one small thing that instantly boosts your mood during the workday?
A good cup of coffee and music, together. - What’s a new skill, craft, or hobby you’d love to master someday?
Playing the handpan like a pro, for sure. - If you were to live in any country in the world, where would you go?
I asked myself this a few years ago, and my answer was Canada, but I could definitely live in Spain or Italy as well, next to the ocean. - Where do you see yourself growing next within your role or career?
There’s always room for improvement, so I’ll be focusing on reducing costs and material waste. But most importantly, wherever my Team goes, I’ll go.
