- Who are you & what is your role at Tayco?
My name is Heber Sanchez Cordova. I’m from Mexico, and I currently work as a Production Specialist on the Maintenance Team. I support the Team with troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and planned improvement projects. - What inspired you to pursue your career path, and how did it lead you here?
I have previous experience working in maintenance, and what I enjoy most is the variety of situations and problems that come up. I like having a routine, but I also like learning about different machines and exploring new ways to solve problems. - What does a typical day look like for you in your role?
I start my day by inspecting the compressor room and reviewing the checklist for all machines in the shop. Then I organize and plan my day based on work orders assigned through our CMMS software, MaintainX. - If your life right now had a movie title, what would it be?
It would have to be, Built From Pressure. - What’s one project or initiative you’ve worked on that you found especially meaningful?
Working on complex and critical machines like TLF or HPS. These situations require the Team to find solutions quickly, and every member plays an important role. We can’t move forward unless everyone does their part correctly, which makes teamwork especially important. - What’s a skill you’ve developed at Tayco that you’re particularly proud of?
One skill I have further developed at Tayco that I’m proud of would be patience. - What’s something your Coworkers might not know about you?
I enjoy partying and having fun outside of work, but at work I’m much more serious and focused. - What motivates you outside of work?
My family motivates me, and I strive to make them proud of what I achieve. - If your personality had a colour palette, what would it include and why?
Deep red with a spicy flavour, because I can be bold, direct, and encouraging. - If you could instantly become an expert in one skill overnight, what would you choose and why?
I’d choose to become an expert in fixing and building anything mechanical or electrical. It would help me solve real problems, create opportunities, and make money.
