Get to know Alex and the important work he does behind the scenes at Tayco!
- What is your current role and what does your typical day look like?
My role at Tayco involves a great deal of critical thinking and daily prioritization. While no two days are the same, I typically start by reviewing my workload and creating a plan based on urgency and impact. Safety-related issues always take top priority, followed by machine breakdowns, then equipment or quality impairments, with preventative maintenance and cosmetic concerns rounding out the list.
But the job goes beyond just completing work orders. Maintaining an organized parts inventory, rebuilding faulty components, and ensuring the overall structure of the maintenance department runs smoothly are just as important. Each day is about balancing these responsibilities and staying as organized and efficient as possible.
What I find interesting about the job is that at any given moment the situation can change and the challenges that occur are often unique, keeping me engaged and motivated.

Everyone’s situation is different. The general acceptance of people and situational awareness at Tayco is a breath of fresh air.
