The Challenge

CCL, a financial services organization, was undergoing a full renovation of their workplace to reflect a more modern, elevated standard. After more than a decade with the same desks and layout, the goal was to reimagine the space into an environment that felt warm, welcoming, and highly functional, while aligning with the professionalism expected of their brand.

A key consideration in the redesign was visibility. The open areas are immediately seen upon entry, requiring a clean, polished aesthetic that could support multiple users without appearing cluttered or disjointed. At the same time, private offices needed to balance individual work styles, with most spaces oriented toward floor-to-ceiling windows to maximize natural light, while select offices maintained more traditional configurations.

Adding to the complexity, the project incorporated existing panel frames from the client’s previous furniture installation. This required thoughtful integration of new solutions that could seamlessly align with legacy components while still delivering a cohesive, refreshed environment.

The Solution

Working closely with the Dealer, Source Office Furniture, the space was approached as a cohesive, integrated solution, one that could elevate the overall aesthetic while resolving three key priorities: creating a clean, polished front-of-house presence, seamlessly integrating existing panel systems, and delivering tailored private offices that support individual work styles.

In the open plan, existing panel frames were thoughtfully repurposed and enhanced using Cosmo workstation components, including cantilever arms, brackets, and communication kits. This approach preserved the value of previously installed systems while introducing a clean, streamlined workstation environment. By carefully integrating new elements with the existing framework, the space avoids a retrofitted appearance, instead delivering a refined and intentional aesthetic that feels cohesive from first view.

Private offices were designed as tailored, user-specific environments, balancing individual work styles with functional needs. While most spaces were oriented toward floor-to-ceiling windows to maximize natural light, layouts were thoughtfully adapted to accommodate both contemporary and more traditional configurations. A combination of Metro Executive, Halifax, and Cosmo product lines allowed each office to be customized while maintaining a unified design language throughout. Layered applications of worksurfaces, returns, and storage create highly functional work zones, supported by flexible elements such as Koko laptop tables for both employees and guests. Halifax A-leg tables introduce additional meeting and touchdown surfaces, while larger offices incorporate expanded storage, integrated meeting points, and the ability to support future height-adjustable applications.

To maintain organization without adding visual weight, particularly important in a highly visible space, vertical solutions were integrated throughout. Gallery Wall systems, floating shelves, and storage components provide efficient organization while reinforcing a clean, architectural aesthetic. Wall-mounted glass whiteboards and Echo PET tackboards enhance functionality for collaboration and planning, while also contributing to improved acoustics.

Together, these solutions are unified through a consistent material palette of warm Kiss Curl laminate paired with Ginger and Silver metal accents, creating a workplace that feels both elevated and cohesive while remaining adaptable for future needs.

The Result

The completed CCL space is a refined, future-ready workplace that balances professionalism with warmth and functionality.

Through thoughtful planning and integration, the redesign transforms a previously dated environment into a cohesive and highly adaptable workspace. Open areas feel clean and intentional, private offices support a range of work styles, and collaborative zones are seamlessly embedded throughout the floorplan.

By combining new solutions with existing infrastructure, the project delivers both efficiency and impact, proving that strategic design can elevate a space without starting from scratch.

The response from the Client has been overwhelmingly positive, with feedback exceeding expectations across all stakeholders, a rare outcome that speaks to the strength of the design, execution, and collaboration behind the project.

Together, Source and Tayco delivered more than a renovation, they created a modern workplace designed to perform today while remaining flexible for the future.
